A Retired Permanent Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and one of the Osun 2018  governorship aspirant under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr Ezekiel Oyebola Oyemomi has said the civil servants of Osun State will find a good partner in him, if elected.

The seasoned technocrat who served in many federal ministries and agencies stated this during an interview programme monitored on osun.life’s THE SPRING.

“I have gone through it and I know where to improve them, they will find in me a partner, I started my carrier as a Teacher, the Teacher should find a partner in me, am now a retired person am relating with the retirees and they will find a partner in me. I want to make things better for them. But first and foremost I want to make things better for the system so that we don’t lose out on anyway, we can get value for money from all front.” he said.

Oyemomi further disclosed his plan to develop the state economy via massive diversification into the Agricultural sector.

“We are going to have agriculture estate that is going to operate on value chain whereby we don’t just produce agricultural product.”

“We are going to produce, we are going to process, we are going to package, we are going to brand and we are going to make sure we market our product and maximize the value Chain,” he added.

He noted that  his experience in the Ministry of Agriculture with the Former Minister of Agriculture, Dr Akinwunmi Adesina, who is now the President of the African Development Bank (AfDB), gave him the needed assurance that an agric based economy is achieveable.

Lastly, he harped on the nexus between achieving an Agro based economy and the youths saying “There is no way we can get the youth involved in agriculture in rural area without making it attractive with better facilities.”
