The Senator representing Osun West, Lere Oyewumi, has commissioned six newly constructed classroom blocks across communities in the district.
According to a post on Facebook by the lawmaker, the classrooms were constructed at NUD Primary School, Sango Ikire; NUD Comprehensive High School, Ode Omu; St. Mary’s African Primary School, Ile-Ogbo; St. Peter Anglican Primary School, Kuta; DC Primary School, Oke Eso, Ode-Omu; and Methodist High School, Iwo.
The Accord Party lawmaker noted the gesture was part of his steadfast commitment to advancing the education sector and creating a better learning environment for children.
“Each of these projects was equipped with chairs and ceiling fans to ensure comfort and promote effective teaching and learning for pupils and students across the district,” Oyewumi noted.
He added that he also inspected the ongoing Ile-Ogbo road tarring project and expressed satisfaction with the quality and pace of work being carried out.
“While addressing community leaders, stakeholders, and residents, I appreciated the people for their unwavering support and encouraged them to continue supporting Governor Ademola Adeleke by voting massively for the ACCORD Party in the August 15, 2026 governorship election.
“I emphasised that continued support for the current administration will pave the way for more developmental projects and improved governance throughout Osun State,” the lawmaker stated.
