The former Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State, Akin Titiloye, has resigned from the party
Titiloye, who is a former Commissioner for Agriculture, announced his resignation in a letter dated October 03, 2025, a copy of which surfaced online on Sunday.
The resignation letter was addressed to the PDP Ward Chairman of the 3rd Ward in Ila Local Government and copied to both the local and state party chairmen, emphasizing that his decision to depart was personal and the result of thorough contemplation.
“I write to formally inform you of my resignation from the PDP with immediate effect. My decision is personal and based on careful consideration. I sincerely appreciate the support, cooperation, and kindness I have enjoyed from the party, its leadership, and members during my time as a member,” the letter stated.
Titiloye has held several positions, including Chairman of Ila Local Government, Chairman of the Governing Council at Osun State College of Education in Ila-Orangun, Senior Special Assistant to Governor Adeleke on Asset Management, and Director General of Ademola Adeleke’s election campaign in Ila local government.
