The lawmaker representing Ife Federal Constituency in the Federal House of Representatives, Hon. Taofeek Ajilesoro, has called on all members and stakeholders of the APC to close ranks and work collectively to ensure the party’s victory in the August 15 gubernatorial elections.
Ajilesoro made the call after he emerged as the party’s candidate to contest the Ife federal constituency in the 2027 general elections.
In a statement by his media office, the lawmaker appreciated the leaders and members of the AP across Ife Federal Constituency for the peaceful, transparent, and successful conduct of the party’s primary election held on Saturday.
He described his emergence as the APC candidate as a collective victory for the people of Ife Federal Constituency and a reflection of the unity and commitment. He shared an aspiration for continued progress and purposeful representation.
According to him, “This victory is not mine alone; it belongs to every stakeholder, supporter, and member of our great party who believes in the vision of a better and more prosperous Ife Federal Constituency. I am deeply humbled by the confidence reposed in me, and I remain committed to delivering quality representation and meaningful development for our people.”
The lawmaker also extended heartfelt appreciation to his co-aspirants for their maturity, sportsmanship, and democratic spirit displayed throughout the exercise, stressing that the primary election has come and gone and that the greater task ahead is the unity and progress of the party.
He reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to strengthening the APC and advancing the interests of the people of Ife Federal Constituency through effective representation, impactful leadership, and people-oriented initiatives.
“By the grace of God, this mandate will continue to be used for the progress, development, and welfare of our people. I sincerely thank everyone for standing with progress and believing in our collective future,” he added.
