The stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ife federal constituency, have adopted the current lawmaker representing the constituency, Hon. Taofeeq Ajilesoro as the consensus candidate for the 2027 election.
A statement signed by the Ife Federal Constituency Statutory leaders, stated that Ajilesoro was adopted after a stakeholders meeting on Thursday.
The statement said Ajilesoro’s choice as the consensus candidate for Ife Federal Constituency is subject to the party’s affirmation process and in accordance with the guidelines of the All Progressives Congress and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
“The motion for the adoption of Hon. Taofeeq Ajilesoro was moved by the Chairman of all Ward Chairmen, Hon. Ojeleye Emmanuel of Ward 8, Moro, Ife North Local Government, and was seconded by Hon. Michael Sunday, Youth Leader of Ward 8, Ife East Area Office, Modakeke.
“The motion received overwhelming support and approval from all delegates and stakeholders present at the meeting,” the statement noted.
It added the meeting concluded with a renewed resolve to uphold the ideals of the APC and ensure a united front toward securing a decisive electoral victory for the party in the forthcoming elections.
