Gunmen abduct two in Osun

Gunmen have kidnapped two persons at Alamon village in Ola-Oluwa Local Government Area, on the old Ibadan/Iwo road, Osun State.

It was gathered that the incident happened about 11:15pm on Monday.

A source, who begged for anonymity, said the victims were heading for Ibadan when they were kidnapped.

The Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi, said he knew of the incident but is yet to be fully briefed.

Police spokesman Mrs. Folashade Odoro said: “We know of the incident and our officers are on top of the situation. The Commissioner of Police, Johnson Kokumo, led the rescue team to the spot of abduction and intensive search has begun.”
