The chairman, Osun All Progressives Congress (APC), Prince Adegboyega Famodun has described the Osun West Senatorial candidate of the party, Engr. Adelere Adeyemi Oriolowo as the best out of all the candidates presented by political parties in the state for the forthcoming Osun west senatorial election.
The APC Chairman said Oriolowo was specifically and strategically positioned as the party’s candidate to fit into the desire of the state to have a well-connected development-oriented representative whose network with global development agencies could be tapped for the progress of Osun West and Osun in general.
Prince Famodun stated this while presenting Oriolowo to traditional rulers, people of Iwo, Ede Federal and Irewole Federal constituencies during the “Thank you visit/town hall meeting” of the Governor of the state, Mr. Gboyega Oyetola to the constituencies.
The party chairman held that the candidate of the APC stands tall among all the candidates put forward for the Osun west senatorial election coming up on February 16th of this year.
He noted that with Oriolowo’s wealth of experience, qualifications and achievements as former Permanent Secretary of the state’s Ministry of Water Resources, Rural Development andcommunity Affairs, he is the candidate to beat in the coming election.
Famodun also pointed out that the state will not forget the achievements of the Osun West APC senatorial candidate as the project coordinator of Osun Rural Access and Mobility project (RAMP), which he said has opened up rural roads in the state.
He stressed that, Oriolowo is a force in the engineering field in Nigeria and beyond having been tutored in several parts of the world for Executive training in road sector reforms, road financing, road safety, maintenance among many others.
In his words, “People of the West senatorial district of the state are blessed with APC’s choice of Engr. Oriolowo, I can authoritatively present him to you as the best out of all the political parties have presented for the West in the coming election.
“He is a force to reckon with in the field of engineering as a fellow of the Nigeria Society of Engineers (NSC), an Associate member of the Nigerian Institute of Institute of charteredArbitrators, a member of Council for Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN).
” I will not want to continue with the list of Oriolowo experience because it is all there for us to all see. Without doubt, we can all come to the conclusion that our candidate is the best man for the job”. Famodun told the gathering.
The APC Chairman used the occasion to solicit for the votes of people of the state for the reelection of President Muhammadu Buhari and all the candidates of the APC in the state, so that the solid foundation that the party has laid for development can continue.
