The Osun State Government, at its weekly executive Council meeting held at Bola Ige House, Abere, has approved the payment of N2 billion naira to Skill G Nigeria Limited for the rehabilitation of nine Technical Colleges in the State.
Briefing newsmen on the outcome of the meeting in Osogbo, the Media Adviser to Governor Rauf Aregbesola, Sola Fasure said that issue was extensively deliberated upon at the meeting before approval was given.
He disclosed that the council considered and approved that the sum of N2 billion be paid to Skill G Nigeria Limited for the upgrade and rehabilitation of nine Technical Colleges in the State.
These are the technical colleges in Osogbo, Gbongan, Ijebu Jesa, Otan Ayegbaju, Osu, Iwo, Inisa, Ara and Ile-Ife.
“ This is in line with the amicable resolution of the case instituted against the state by the firm. These technical colleges have also been designated as Life Academies where residents can be trained to acquire skills in diverse technical and vocational education for life sustenance and wealth creation.
