A frontline gubernatorial aspirant under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Project Coordinator of the Rural Access Mobility Project (RAMP), Engr. Adelere Oriolowo, has alluded to the fact that his interventions at RAMP significantly reduced maternal mortality through easy access to health facilities.
The Governorship hopeful who is favoured by current argument for a Christian Governor from the Osun West Senatorial District, disclosed to our correspondent during an interactive session that his interventions at RAMP significantly reduced maternal mortality in Osun rural areas and also increased the enrolment in public schools.
“Socially people are able to have access to all social amenities like health facilities, the maternal mortality has drastically reduced, educationally; we have enhanced enrollment in our rural schools.”
He further cleared the air on who funds RAMP which has been generating controversy in the state that its a world bank funded project.
“The State Government of Osun funds RAMP. It is true that we have financial support which we are going to pay back. It is a credit from World bank and French Development Agency, it’s not for free the State of Osun will pay back.”
Furthermore, Oriolowo stressed that he has all the ingredients to run the state successfully. He noted that knowledge based economy is been run all over the world, that Osun cannot be left behind in running a knowledge based economy.
“I have a technical expertise that will enable me to talk across diverse professional fields. Another one is project management skills, since my entrance into the civil service in 1986, there is no single day that I have not been on one project or the other.”
Lastly, he urged the party delegates to vote for him in the July 7th APC primary election based on his performance and track record.
