Former governor of Osun State and national secretary of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, has endorsed the party’s governorship candidate, Rt. Hon. Dr Najeem Folasayo Salaam, describing him as a leader of proven competence and integrity.
Aregbesola spoke on Tuesday in Ile-Ife while addressing a large crowd of party supporters at the ADC mega rally in the ancient town.
He said governance is about selfless service and must be entrusted to individuals with vision, capacity, and the fear of God to deliver real development.
According to him, the progress of any state depends largely on the quality of its leadership.
“There is no doubt that among all those contesting the forthcoming governorship election in Osun, Dr Najeem Folasayo Salaam stands out in terms of competence, humility, integrity, and character. His record in public service speaks for itself,” Aregbesola stated.
“I have absolute confidence that he will deploy his vast experience and leadership capacity to transform Osun State if elected governor. His administration will be anchored on transparency, accountability, competence, and service to the people,” he added.
The ADC national scribe urged Osun voters to give Salam overwhelming support, expressing confidence that an ADC government would be committed to progressive policies that improve the lives of all citizens, regardless of background.
