The Senator representing Osun West, Lere Oyewumi, has commended President Bola Tinubu for the ongoing reconstruction and rehabilitation of the Ibadan-Ikire-Ife-Ilesha road.
The Senate Deputy Minority leader, during plenary on Wednesday, highlighted the importance of the road to the southwestern states.
Oyewumi emphasised that the commencement of the project represents a significant victory for his constituents and the region at large.
He also appreciated the Minister of Works, Engr. David Umahi, for the quality and rapid pace of the construction.
He urged the president to ensure the project’s steady completion, asserting that such an achievement would serve as a lasting legacy and a clear demonstration to the masses that their welfare remains a top priority for the administration.
