2027: I want to return to the House of Representatives – Ajilesoro

The lawmaker representing Ife Federal Constituency, Hon Taofeek Ajilesoro, has expressed his desire to return to the National Assembly in 2027.

It would be recalled that Ajilesoro was elected in 2023 under the Peoples Democratic Party but defected to the All Progressives Congress in 2025.

The lawmaker made his intention known on Wednesday during a meeting with the apex leaders of the party in Ife federal constituency under the leadership of Baba Sooko Adewoyin.

Ajilesoro in a Facebook post, said the meeting allowed him to highlight some of the development he has brought to the federal constituency since he was elected.

He wrote, “Grateful for a warm and insightful meeting with the APC apex leaders of Ife Federal Constituency under our Father Baba Sooko Adewoyin.

“It was an honour to appreciate the platform the party has given us, a true home that continues to inspire service and commitment. I also had the opportunity to share my ambition to return to the House of Representatives, while highlighting my journey so far in infrastructure development, human capacity building, and constituency outreach.

“I am deeply encouraged by their kind words, confidence in my leadership, and sincere prayers for the journey ahead. The work continues, for our people, for our future.”
