Members and supporters of the All Progressives Congress in Osun State on Tuesday, held a unity walk for President Bola Tinubu and a gubernatorial aspirant under the party in Osun, Bola Oyebamiji.
The APC members, who were mostly youths, converged at Baba Onisekere area, Ayetoro, Osogbo, as early as 7:00a.m.
They walked through Ayetoro-Igbona-Old-Garage-Olaiya-Aregbe and terminated at the Ilerioluwa campaign office of the former governor of Osun State and current Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Gboyega Oyetola.
The supporters in their thousands lend their voices for the re-election of President Tinubu in 2027 and the aspiration of Oyebamiji who is the Executive Director, National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA).
Addressing party faithfuls, former Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Hon. Timothy Owoeye who led the trek described the massive turnout as unprecedented.
Owoeye said: “this is glaring as you can see for yourself. Seeing is believing. Our people willingly came out to register their support for the leading gubernatorial aspirant of our party – Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji popularly called AMBO. They equally reaffirmed their readiness to mobilize massively for the re-election of our national leader and President, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.”
Similarly, the Executive Director, Marine Operations, Nigerian Ports Authority, NPA, Hon. Olalekan Badmus, eulogized residents of the state for their unflinching support and solidarity for the APC and the leading gubernatorial aspirant of the party.
Badmus described the genuine show of love, endorsement and solidarity from the people of the state particularly the residents of Osogbo as applaudable.
Oyebamiji is one of the 13 aspirants under the APC in Osun State seeking to clinch the ticket of the party in the December 13, primary election.
Apart from securing the party’s ticket, the Ikiri-born politician will hope to defeat incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke and take the state back for the APC.
