The Federal Government, through the Nigerian Ports Authority, on Monday, donated empowerment materials to startups and small-scale business owners in Osogbo and Ilesa West Local Government Areas of Osun State.
The materials included grinding machines, sewing machines, generating sets, and Freezers, among others.
In a Facebook post, the Executive Director, Marine and Operations, Nigerian Ports Authority, Engr. Olalekan Badmus, stated that the gesture was part of the Corporate Social Responsibility of the agency.
He said, “Today, we gave out another set of empowerment materials to startups and small-scale business owners in Osogbo and Ilesa West Local Government Areas of Osun State.
“The empowerment programme facilitated by my mentor and boss, the Honorable Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, H.E. Adegboyega Oyetola CON, was sponsored by the Nigerian Ports Authority as Corporate Social Responsibility.
“This initiative was put in place in order to give back to the people and consolidate on the Economic Recovery Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.
“I am more than convinced that this initiative will significantly contribute to business development, enhance economic growth, and self-reliance within these communities.”
