A former lawmaker who represented Ife Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Hon. Rotimi Makinde has described Governor Ademola Adeleke as someone who does not believe in equality.
The Ile-Ife-born politician said the governor was not reciprocating the same level of infrastructure in Ede to other towns in the state.
Makinde who spoke on a private radio programme, said a governor should have a broader vision of the entire state and not focus only on one town.
The former lawmaker lamented that the museum and market that had been in existence before he was born were still the ones operating today.
He said, “We are still using the same market and museum that have been in existence before I was done. All these things make me cry. They are something a governor with a vision should have done.
“I’m not against Ede. I am a titled chief from Ede, and I don’t need to be from Ede before I think positively about the town, but when you have somebody who has a broader vision of the entire state, they will know that development should cut across every part of the state.
“I want to follow a governor who is liberal and see all towns in the same way, and not only focused on his own town, and I’m happy that those who have come out to contest under the All Progressives Congress are credible people.”
