Osun’s Oyelami to represent South West at Guinness World Record event

An indigene of Iragberi in Egbedore Local Government Area of Osun State, Stephen Adedapo Oyelami, has been officially selected as one of the marathoners for the Naija ReadFest Guinness World Record.

Oyelami will represent the South West in an attempt by a team of five people reading books aloud for 424 hours.

The event will take place from August 12th to 30th, 2025 at The Library, Victoria Island, Opp. Eko Hotel, Lagos.

Stating his pride at representing Osun State, Oyelami said the historic event will promote literacy and national pride.

He added that his attempt will inspire other young people across Osun and beyond to embrace reading, education, and excellence.
