COVID-19: Osun receives N28.5m UBA donation

Osun State Government has received a N28.5million donation from United Bank for Africa (UBA), to assist it in combating the deadly coronavirus.

Though the world is currently ravaged by the disease, Osun is one of the states in Nigeria with few cases of the dreaded disease.

However, in order to help combat the scourge headlong, UBA on Friday, (27/3/2020), credited the account of the state government with the sum of N28.5m (twenty eight million and five hundred thousand Naira).

The state’s UBA branch Manager, Adekunle Ogedengbe, told our correspondent that the donation was assist the government combat the disease.

According to Ogedengbe, curtailing the spread of the disease should be the concern of everybody and urged people to follow the prescribed rules aimed at defeating the scourge.

Speaking further on the donation, Ogedengbe added that already, the headquarters of the bank had credited the account of the Federal Government with a sum of N2.5b, while FCT, Abuja was given a sum of N500m.

He said other states of the federation received N28.5m each.
