An Osun State based Human right activist, Comrade Amitolu Shittu has called for the protection of human rights as enshrined in the constitution.
Com Shittu made this known recently while featuring as guest discussant on an issues based program on Rave FM, monitored by osun.life.
He maintained that human rights are only been documented but not practicable.
He posited that apart from the recognized rights of an individual as cited by United Nation (UN), there are still some rights which the citizens tends to enjoy but are taken over by laws.
When trying to explain what human rights entails, he mentioned that judgemental assessment of knowing what is right from wrong brings about the idea of human right.
The comrade however advised human rights commission agencies to sensitize the public on the right they tend to enjoy as a citizen.
