The duo of Senator Ademola Adeleke and Barrister Pelumi Olajengbesi have expressed sadness and called for special prayers over the recent multiple deaths ravaging the major opposition party in Osun State, the Peoples Democratic Party.

In a separate condolence message personally signed by the two Chieftains of the party, a copy which was made available to osun.life, it described the loss of their prominent members as a painful one.

While condoling with the families and leadership of the party over the departed souls, the duo called for special prayers to put an end to the ugly trend in the party.

In his words, the gubernatorial candidate of the party in the last governorship election in the state, Senator Ademola Adeleke said, “It is with heavy heart and sadness that I received the news of several sad incidents and deaths within Osun state PDP in the last two weeks. The sudden unfortunate exit of our party chieftains from Oriade and Boluwaduro local governments is a terrible development at a time the party is just recovering from recent challenges”

“I emphasize and condole with the families of the deceased and pray Almighty God to grant them the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss. This is one death too many in Osun PDP family”

“My condolence also goes to the State Chairman of the party, Hon Soji Adagunodo and the entire leadership of the party at the state and local levels. It is time to convey urgent prayer at the state secretariat of our party. We must seek the face of God to halt untimely death within the party”

“I wept profusely these days; great minds exited so sadly. I pray our Lord to console the families, the party and all PDP members. We pray for divine protection and support”, the statement concluded.

In the same vein, the House of Assembly candidate for Oriade State constituency in the last general elections, Barrister Olajengbesi said he was deeply troubled and heartbroken by the sad news.

In his words, “I am deeply troubled and heartbroken by his death yet mindful of the brevity of life and the need to live it in service for others when God permits us breath. It is this philosophy that proceeds our now late great chairman to the next world and life- he lived for others keenly”

“While we take solace in the will of God and hold on to the saying that the one who is adored the most by God is the one who achieves eternal life, I pray God receives his soul and grant him eternal rest”

He prayed that God will be with the affected families and grant them the needed fortitude to bear such an irreparable loss.
