There has been a change of baton in the leadership of the media crew of Governor of Osun State, Mr. Gboyega Oyetola as osun.life reliably gathered that the Governor has appointed, Mr. Ismail Omipitan, an Ila born Political Editor of the Sun Newspaper as the as new Chief Press Secretary following the resignation of Mr. Adeniyi, who has moved back to The Nation Newspaper.
Although, there has not been an official announcement by the Governor but osun.life reliably gathered that Mr. Omipitan has since resumed duties and has been acting in the capacity of the Chief Press Secretary as he has started liaising with the members of the Osun State Correspondent Chapel to familiarise himself with his colleagues who work with different media houses nationwide.
The resignation of the former CPS was as a result of his promotion by the TheNation Newspaper to the position of a Chief Editor, a position he prefers to the job of being the Governor’s spokesman.
The new CPS, Ismail Omipidan, is a group political editor with the Sun Newspaper and he is a social affairs analyst with over 20 years in the field of journalism.
