A Peoples Democratic Party Chieftain in Odo-Otin local government area of Osun State and House of Assembly candidate in the last general election, Hon. Wale Egbedun has likened the power outage being experienced in some parts of Osun State to the Supreme court loss of Senator Ademola Adeleke.
Hon. Egbedun made the remarks via his Twitter handle @egbedun1 while responding to an osun.life public tweet on the blackout.
osun.life had earlier tweeted “It’s been 24hrs and most areas in Osogbo are still experiencing a blackout. Is there light in your area?”
Responding, Hon. Egbedun said “How can we have light in Osun when we denied Imole his mandate”
Osogbo, the capital city of the State has since yesterday been experiencing an unusual blackout as 90% parts of the city have been in total darkness for more than 24 hours including some other major towns of the state.
Efforts to reach the Osun State corporate manager of Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC), Owoeye Kikelomo, was unsuccessful as calls to her mobile phone indicated that it was switched off while the lines of their Customers Care Service Centre, Ibadan Regional office was not available.
