Members of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Osogbo Local Government have commenced a review of the party’s performance in the August 15 governorship election, with a vow to rebuild a stronger party structure ahead of future polls.
APC chieftain and Executive Director, Marine and Operations, Nigerian Ports Authority, Lekan Badmus, disclosed this on his Facebook page after meeting with party stalwarts across the wards in Osogbo on Monday.
Badmus said the meeting was to critique, review and interrogate the outcome of the election in the local government, noting that a few challenges were identified in some areas.
The meeting also reaffirmed the leadership of the Honourable Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Alhaji Isiaka Adegboyega Oyetola, in the state.
He wrote, “We equally reaffirmed that the Honourable Minister has done tremendously for the growth and unity of the party.”
Badmus added that the party’s focus now is on rebuilding and expressed optimism about the party’s future.
“As we regroup, our focus is on building a more compact, efficient, and formidable party structure across the land. By the grace of Almighty Allah, we shall bounce back,” he noted.
