The Speaker of Osun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Timothy Owoeye has appealed to the citizens and residents of the state particularly all sons and daughters of Ijeshaland to support the administration of Governor Gboyega Oyetola for him to have a successful tenure.
Rt. Hon. Owoeye made the appeal yesterday in Ilesha while on a courtesy call on the paramount ruler of Ijeshaland, Oba (Dr.) Gabriel Adekunle Aromolaran, the visit was to thank the monarch and the entire Ijeshaland for their support towards his emergence as the number three citizen of the state.
In his address, the Speaker said it is important for all Ijeshas to support the administration of Gboyega Oyetola the way he stood by Ogbeni Aregbesola when he held sway as Governor of the state.
Owoeye equally thanked all the leaders, chieftains and members of APC in Ijeshaland for their valued support and efforts towards his emergence.
He assured the Owa Obokun of Ijeshland that he would work closely with Governor Gboyega Oyetola to put an end to the rising level of insecurity in the state while reeling out efforts by the Governor to make the State a safe haven for all and sundry.
Oba (Dr.) Gabriel Aromolaran took time to pray for the new Speaker and wished him a successful tenure in office.
The Monarch in his admonition urged Speaker Owoeye and Governor Oyetola to make the welfare of the people a priority.
