The State Welfare Officer of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Deaconess Adesola Oluwabunmi Ayangbile, has distanced herself from a rejoinder purportedly issued against the Oyebamiji-led Campaign Council over the Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) list.
It would be recalled that some members of the State Executive Committee (SEC) of the party issued a rejoinder titled “Official Rejoinder and Rejection of the Osun State Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) List,” rejecting the list released by the Oyebamiji-led leadership.
Ayangbile, whose name appeared among the signatories to the document, said she was never consulted nor involved in its preparation.
In an official disclaimer, the Welfare Officer stated categorically that she had no part in the drafting, deliberation, adoption or authorisation of the statement.
“I did not give my consent for my name to be included as a signatory, and I therefore reject any impression that I endorsed or authorised the publication,” she declared.
She described the inclusion of her name and official position in the statement without her knowledge as inappropriate and unacceptable.
Reaffirming her loyalty to the party, Ayangbile said she remains a committed member of the APC with unwavering respect for its leadership and established structures, stressing that her commitment to the success of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is unquestionable.
She also reaffirmed her loyalty to the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Alhaji Adegboyega Oyetola, and the party’s governorship candidate, Alhaji Munirudeen Bola Oyebanji (AMBO).
“My loyalty is not negotiable, my political position is clear, and my name and integrity must not be used to advance any position without my consent,” she added.
She demanded that her name be withdrawn from the list of signatories in all subsequent publications.
