The Osun State Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, Mr Ekeng Ita Kubiangha, has charged prospective corps members deployed to the state to strictly observe camp rules and prioritise their safety.
Kubiangha gave the charge at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Ede as registration commenced for the 2026 Batch C Stream I Orientation Course.
The exercise includes PCMs deployed to Osun and those dislodged from Lagos and Ekiti states.
He said discipline, compliance with guidelines and active participation were essential for a smooth, safe and impactful orientation course.
The coordinator assured the PCMs that registration would be seamless if they followed instructions from camp officials. He noted that every valid call-up letter carries a QR code for verification and advised them to report any document without the code as a possible anomaly.”
According to him, the orientation course was designed to reshape, strengthen and further develop their character, building on foundations acquired in their tertiary institutions.
The state coordinator encouraged the PCMs to speak up and seek clarification when necessary, assuring them that appropriate action would be taken against any act of molestation, harassment or other forms of misconduct in camp.
