Popular Nigerian music star, Oladapo Oyebanjo, popularly known as D’banj, has donated three fully branded Sienna buses to the Accord Party candidate for Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency, Pelumi Olajengbesi.
Olajengbesi disclosed this in a post on his Facebook page on Friday.
The Accord candidate described the gesture as a huge show of love and support.
According to him, the donation came about two weeks after D’banj contacted him to help link him with his campaign branding handler for his CREAM project for young creatives.
“About two weeks ago, my great brother, the Koko Master himself, D’banj Kokomaster, called me and asked me to help him get the contact of the person who does my campaign branding, as he needed to brand a vehicle for his CREAM project designed for young creatives. So, I shared the contact with him.
“However, yesterday, I received a surprise: three fully branded Sienna space buses from D’banj in Osogbo.
“I immediately called him. His response was simple: ‘It’s my token of support, ‘ Olajengbesi wrote.
The House of Representatives candidate said he does not take the support for granted, adding that it reinforces his sense of responsibility.
“Wow! Oluwami! Bangalee, I do not take this for granted. This is love. This is huge support. Thank you for standing with me and for believing in this journey.
“In recent weeks, I have received tremendous support from people from different walks of life, some publicly, many quietly. Every single act of support reinforces something in my heart; this is a responsibility. Thank you, powerfully!” he added.
