Oyetola felicitates Osun people @35, urges unity for greater development

The Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Gboyega Oyetola, has congratulated the people of Osun State on the 35th anniversary of the state’s creation, urging them to embrace peace, unity and collective effort for development.

The former governor, in a statement issued in Osogbo on Thursday, noted that Osun people have every reason to thank God for His grace, protection and blessings over the years.

Oyetola acknowledged that the state still faces developmental challenges, but expressed optimism about its future.

“While the state may still be lagging behind in some areas of development, there is every reason to remain hopeful, optimistic and committed to building a better future for all,” he said.

The Minister called for unity across political, religious and other divides, stressing that progress depends on the collaboration of government, traditional rulers, business leaders, professionals, youths and other stakeholders.

According to him, “The strength of the state lies in the unity, resilience and determination of its people to create a better future for generations yet unborn.”

Oyetola expressed confidence that Osun has enormous human and material resources capable of transforming it into a more prosperous and developed society.
