Group replies Oluwo, urges monarch to direct counsel to Oyetola on FG-Osun relations

A political pressure group, Osun Democrats for Democracy (ODA, has responded to the Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Adewale Akanbi, on the relationship between the Federal Government and Osun State.

Oluwo, in his congratulatory message to Governor Ademola Adeleke, advised him to align with the administration of President Bola Tinubu to attract more development to towns and villages across the state.

Replying in a statement issued on Sunday night by its General Secretary, Adesoji Adenrele, the group said contrary to the monarch’s position, Osun is not operating in isolation.

But ODA urged the royal father to direct his counsel to the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Gboyega Oyetolo, whom it accused of blocking federal cooperation with the state government.

The group noted that because the Oluwo is close to the minister, he is in a good position to raise the matter directly with him.

The group further alleged that several federal interventions meant for the state were channelled through APC structures and some traditional rulers instead of government channels.
