2026 guber: ZLP’s candidate says time to dump APC, Accord

The Zenith Labour Party governorship candidate in Osun State, Engr. John Olufemi Adesuyi, has urged voters to reject the All Progressives Congress and the ruling Accord Party in the August 15 election.

Adesuyi in a statement on Friday, said both parties have had the opportunity to govern the state but failed to deliver responsible leadership and sustainable development.

He described the 2026 poll as a defining moment for Osun people to choose a new direction anchored on accountability, transparency and genuine development, rather than a contest between APC and Accord.

“Both parties have failed the people through years of poor governance and mismanagement of the state’s resources. This is not the time to recycle failed leadership. Osun people deserve a credible alternative,” he said.

Adesuyi listed his priorities to include quality education, healthcare, youth and women empowerment, infrastructure, industrialisation, agriculture, job creation, and prudent management of public resources.

He added that a ZLP administration would promote inclusive governance and citizen participation, with policies that place the welfare of ordinary citizens above political interests.

The ZLP candidate called on eligible voters to come out en masse on election day and vote for the Zenith Labour Party, saying “every vote for ZLP is a vote for a prosperous, peaceful, and progressive Osun State.”
