The Alubarika Movement has reaffirmed its commitment to grassroots mobilisation and voter education ahead of the August 16, 2026 governorship election in the state.
The founder and grand patron of the movement and National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Senator Ajibola Basiru, stated this in a post on his Facebook page after a high-level stakeholders’ meeting with the leadership of the group in Osogbo.
Basiru said the meeting was convened to fine-tune strategies and strengthen mobilisation structures across the 30 local government areas and 332 wards in the state.
He described the Alubarika Movement as one of the APC’s strongest support bases in Osun since 2011, noting that it has played a critical role in mass mobilisation, voter education, and unity within the party.
According to him, discussions at the meeting centred on strengthening structures at the local government and ward levels and deepening engagement with members to ensure the Movement delivers maximally for the party in 2026.
The APC National Secretary expressed confidence that with the commitment, experience, and reach of the Alubarika Movement, the party would secure another victory in Osun.
“By the grace of Allah, and with the dedication of Alubarika members, we will work together to deliver victory for the APC in Osun State,” he said.
