Aaraj alleges ex-convicts recruited into Osun Amotekun, demands fresh exercise

The Founder of Aaraji Empowerment Foundation and APC chieftain, Kehinde Raji, has called on Governor Ademola Adeleke to disband the last recruitment exercise conducted by the Osun State Amotekun Corps.

Raji, while featuring on a private television programme in Osogbo, alleged that the majority of those recruited into the Corps were “ex-convicts and wanted criminals” whom the governor had pardoned.

He alleged that the Governor intentionally pardoned the ex-convicts and got them recruited into Osun Amotekun.

Raji said the governor should subject a new recruitment process to the Nigeria Police Force.

“If he knows that he loves the people of the state, let him disband the latest recruitment exercise, submit to the Nigerian Police, let them reapply and let the Nigerian Police conduct a new exercise for the Amotekun Corps,” he said.
