Governor Ademola Adeleke will on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, inaugurate six major projects at the University of Ilesa aimed at boosting teaching, research and student welfare.
According to the Senior Assistant Registrar, Corporate Services, Tunde Fanowopo, the projects include the remodelled Faculty of Law Annex, Faculty of Public Health, and Faculty of Basic Clinical Sciences buildings.
Others are a reconstructed internal road network and a newly constructed hostel building.
Vice-Chancellor, Professor Taiwo Olufemi Asaolu, said the commissioning reflects the Adeleke administration’s continued support for the university. He noted the projects will strengthen academic capacity and improve student experience.
“The commissioning is another testament to the remarkable support the University has enjoyed from Governor Ademola Adeleke. It will reinforce our position as one of Nigeria’s fastest-growing public universities,” Asaolu said.
The VC commended the governor for his investment in education and urged staff, students and the public to attend the event to welcome him.
