Candidates of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Osun Central have pledged a functional borehole to Oke-Ayo Community in Olorunda Local Government Area.
The APC candidate also donated solar-powered streetlights to the community.
The moves, according to the APC Senatorial candidate for Osun Central, Barr Kunle Adegoke SAN, were part of their grassroots mobilisation for the party’s governorship candidate, Mr Bola Oyebamiji.
A post on Adegoke’s Facebook page noted that the pledge was made on Saturday during a campaign visit to the community by APC candidates across Osogbo, Olorunda, Orolu and Irepodun Federal Constituency.
The former gubernatorial aspirant said the interventions were in direct response to needs raised by residents.
Addressing the community, Adegoke said Oyebamiji is tested and trusted and deserves to be voted in the August 15 gubernatorial election.
He described Oyebamiji as the best man to lead Osun at this critical time
The Senatorial candidate also canvassed support for all APC candidates on the ballot, saying alignment across government levels was necessary to deliver dividends of democracy.
“For this community and others across our constituency to enjoy greater development, we must support all APC candidates, beginning with the governorship. AMBO’s victory is fundamental to our collective efforts,” he said.
Other candidates on the tour were House of Representatives candidate, Hon. Ibrahim Taofeek, ITK; Osogbo State Constituency candidate, Hon. Abdullahi Olaiya Ayodeji, Ayonic; Olorunda State Constituency candidate, Hon. Dr Sanusi Sesan, Kajola; and Irepodun/Orolu State Constituency candidate, Hon. Adekunle.
