Olawale Rasheed, the spokesperson to Governor Ademola Adeleke, has said the current administration has redefined the face of Iwoland through massive infrastructure delivery in less than 4 years.
Speaking at the Iwo Action Council, IWAC, meeting in Osogbo on Saturday, Rasheed urged Iwo indigenes to vote massively for the Accord in 2026 to ensure continuity and completion of ongoing projects.
He said Governor Adeleke has executed more road projects in Iwo than any administration in recent history. The projects listed include Araromi-Panada-Kuti Road, Osogbo Junction-Ajigbaagun Road, Feesu-Agbowo Road, Ile-Amin-Jagun Ode Road, and Post Office-Muniare-Oke Bode-Okefa Road.
The spokesperson described the dualisation of the Odo Ori-Adeke Road as historic, being the first major dual carriageway in Iwo.
“Governor Adeleke did not just dualise roads; he redesigned the heart of Iwo. It is a city centre redevelopment project that will change the face of the town for generations to come,” he stated.
Rasheed also cited the reconstruction of the Adeke Bridge, noting that the administration restored the critical infrastructure to ease movement.
He said the Iwo Water Works has been reactivated, with the remaining phase awaiting completion, while plans are underway to develop the Oke-Oba axis into an industrial hub to benefit from the Federal Government’s Inland Dry Port in Erunmu, Oyo State.
He further disclosed that the old Samosta Farms will be repackaged by OSICOL for global agricultural investors, with a directive for community participation in ownership.
He said voting for Governor Adeleke again will guarantee the delivery of bigger development plans already outlined for Iwoland.
