2026: Omisore will not leave APC for Accord – Wole Oke

The gubernatorial campaign director-general of the All Progressives Congress in Osun State, Oluwole Oke, has declared that Senator Iyiola Christopher Omisore will not defect from the APC to work with Accord ahead of the August 15 election.

Oke, in a Facebook post on Sunday, described Omisore as “undoubtedly our National Leader in Ife Ijesa Land” and said the party has “come a long way” with him.

He added, “For those alleged to be using his name to negotiate with the incumbent Government of Osun State for one gain or the other, you’re on your own.

“Senator Iyiola Omisore will not defect from APC. Neither would he work against APC in the forthcoming governorship election.”

The Campaign DG also addressed rumours around other party chieftains.

He said, “My Brother, Hon Famurewa is also not defecting to any party, neither Dr Bode Henry Olaonipekun.

On Bar Ojo Williams and others who left the party, Oke added: “They are on sabbatical leave. When they return, we will let you know.”
