Osogbo Tennis Club, a non-profit organization based in Osogbo, Osun State, will on Saturday begin it’s humanitarian efforts with the Jaleyemi Hospital Orphanage Home, Osogbo.
The club which was established in 1991 has grown to become a social organization of repute within the State and Country.
This club which has in time past organized tennis completion for clubs across the south west has notable members and patrons including the Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Ogunwusi, the Chief Whip of the Nigerian Senate, Senator Olusola Adeyeye, a former Governor of Kano State, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwanso, a former Governor of Osun State, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola among others.
In a brief chat with our correspondent, the President of the Club, Mr. Adekunle Ogedengbe described the event as a one that’ll assist the needy and give them the sense of belonging as well helping the orphanage home to reduce the burden of provision.
Ogedengbe who also described the maiden event as an avenue to positively project the image of the Osogbo Tennis Club said the club under his leadership and with continued support from members will take the outreach to other orphanage homes in the State.
