Osun 2018: Oyinlola’s aide canvasses for Osun West

Adio said his new party, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) would consider picking a candidate from the zone in the September 22 governorship election in the state.

Adio, who spoke with our correspondent during the 6th Iwo-Oke day festival at the weekend, maintained that there would be justice and fairness if the governorship ticket is zoned to Osun West.

He said, “a younger brother has seven wives, about to take the eighth wife, his elder brother has only one, and you think there will be peace? Do you think there is fairness and justice?

“It is obvious that every other zone has enjoyed the shift of power, Osun West is about the second largest in the whole of Osun, and they should be represented.

“If we are talking about justice and fairness, I strongly believe that the next governor should come from Osun West. I am particularly praying to God to let it be Iwoland. It doesn’t matter who. What matters is that the person must be of good quality,” he said.

Adio, who hinted that ADC would participate in the coming election said, “I am hoping and praying that ADC will field a candidate from Osun West.

“I’m with Oyinlola and we are of the African Democratic Congress. Osun people have high expectations. They want a government that they can trust, a government that can add value to their lives, a government that can give them food, security and a government that can eradicate poverty.”

He said the people have been disenfranchised and that it is now the job of ADC to wake them up and tell them to arise and shine.
