The Accord National and State Assembly candidates in Osun State have backed Governor Ademola Adeleke’s role in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election campaign.
The candidates, led by the group’s Co-Chairman and Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adewale Egbedun, said they would mobilise grassroots votes for the President in the state.
Egbedun, speaking on behalf of the candidates, commended Governor Adeleke for his leadership and commitment to the political alliance, adding that the group remains aligned with his political direction.
According to him, their political structure would be deployed to ensure overwhelming support for President Tinubu in Osun.
“Our political structure and grassroots reach would be mobilised to ensure that the President receives overwhelming support from the people of Osun State,” he said.
The Speaker stressed that the pledge would be backed by concrete action, including sustained engagement with constituents, grassroots mobilisation and sensitisation.
“We recognise the importance of political cooperation and collective action in advancing the interests of Osun State and ensuring a productive relationship between the state and the Federal Government.
“So, we shall continue to stand with our leader, His Excellency, Mr Governor, with our unwavering loyalty, cooperation and total support as he undertakes this assignment,” Egbedun said.
He expressed confidence that unity of purpose and effective mobilisation would deliver an impressive result for President Tinubu in Osun.
He reaffirmed the candidates’ readiness to work closely with the governor to secure votes for the President.
