The All Progressives Congress candidate for Osun Central Senatorial District, Kunle Rasheed Adegoke, SAN, popularly known as K-RAD, has reaffirmed his commitment to the preservation of Yoruba culture and indigenous knowledge.
Adegoke stated this during a courtesy visit to renowned Ifa priest and cultural icon, Chief Ifayemi Osundagbonu Elebuibon, at his residence in Osogbo.
He described Chief Elebuibon as a revered custodian of Yoruba traditional knowledge and the conscience of the community, commending his lifelong dedication to promoting Yoruba language, philosophy, spirituality and identity.
According to him, honouring traditional institutions and cultural custodians is essential to preserving historical memory and strengthening communal identity.
“A society that honours its custodians of wisdom preserves its identity and strengthens its future,” Adegoke said.
The Senior Advocate of Nigeria said if elected, he would support indigenous arts, cultural preservation and traditional institutions.
In his response, Chief Elebuibon described Adegoke as an Omoluabi Atata, a person of exemplary character and integrity, and offered traditional prayers for his success in the forthcoming senatorial election.
