A section of the newly commissioned Lameco Bridge in Osogbo has failed.
The development led to the closure of the bridge on Friday as motorists and commuters scrambling for alternative routes.
It would be recalled that Governor Ademola Adeleke commissioned the bridge on July 01, 2026, describing it as one of several mega projects delivered by his administration for public use.
At the commissioning, the governor said the projects were designed to ease traffic, boost commerce and improve the quality of life of residents. The government is yet to state the cause of the failure or when the bridge will be reopened.
