The Chairman of the Media Committee of the Imole Campaign Council, Hon. Bamidele Salam, has alleged that the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Osun State is behind the forceful invasion of motor parks to cause chaos and sabotage the 2026 election process.
Salam, who represents Ede North/Ede South/Egbedore and Ejigbo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, made the allegation on Tuesday while speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today.
He accused the APC of carrying out illegalities with the alleged collaboration of the police in the state.
According to him, one Mr Asiri Eniba, with alleged police backing, stormed motor parks in Osogbo and Ilesa on Monday and Tuesday, and chased members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW, out of the parks to claim leadership of the union.
Salam said the aim was to disrupt INEC’s logistics for the election.
“We have about 3,700 polling units in Osun. INEC relies on NURTW to provide vehicles to move election materials. The plan is to seize the parks and cripple that chain,” he stated.
