Alubarika Movement empowers 332 people with N66.5m

Alubarika Movement, the political group of the National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Senator Ajibola Basiru, has empowered 332 members of the group with the sum of Sixty-six million, four hundred thousand naira.

The beneficiaries who received the sum of ₦200,000 at the event held on Wednesday in Osogbo, where drawn from the 332 political wards in the state.

Speaking at the event which had in attendance, the gubernatorial candidate of the APC in Osun State, Mr Bola Oyebamiji, the state party chairman, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, the Director General of the APC campaign council, Hon. Wole Oke, immediate past speaker of Osun House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Timothy Owoeye and a host of others, the convener of the movement, Basiru, said the gesture was to improve the standard of living on the beneficiaries.

Basiru also declared that membership of his Alubarika Movement is tied to support for the APC and its Osun governorship candidate, Mr. Bola Oyebamiji.

“If you are a member of Alubarika Movement and you are not supporting APC, you are not our member. The candidate of Alubarika Movement is Bola Oyebamiji,” he stated.

The APC national scribe said the mandate given to him by President Bola Tinubu is to ensure APC wins elections.

He cited recent victories in Ekiti, Enugu, Ondo, Nasarawa, and Jigawa States.

“The work President Bola Tinubu gave me is that whenever there is an election, APC must win the election. We went to Ekiti State and we won the election. We also won a senatorial seat in Enugu State. The same thing happened in Ondo, Nasarawa and Jigawa States,” he said.

Looking ahead to Osun, Basiru predicted victory for the party’s candidate.

“We are done with the Ekiti gubernatorial election and the next one is Osun governorship election and I want to tell you that by God’s grace, by the evening of August 15, 2026, our candidate, Bola Oyebamiji will be declared the winner of the election,” he said.

He also urged the 332 beneficiaries to use the funds responsibly.

“To those who benefited from this empowerment, I want to appeal to you to utilise the fund very well. Don’t use the money for party,” he added.
