Governor Ademola Adeleke has said he spent four days in Abuja waiting to meet President Bola Tinubu, but was prevented from doing so by the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola.
Adeleke disclosed this during an interview with a private television station in Osogbo on Friday.
The failed meeting was during the period that the state structure of the then People’s Democratic Party (PDP) had endorsed the plan by Senator Ademola Adeleke to join the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He said the meeting was arranged after the National Security Adviser informed him that the President wanted to see him.
“As an Executive Governor, I left my state and went there. I stayed for four days, but Oyetola blocked me from seeing him,” Adeleke added.
He also claimed that filers from the presidency have indicated that the President has said he is not going to rig for anybody in the August 15 election.
