The Elende of Eko-Ende in Ifelodun LocalPowerline area of Eko-Ende in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Osun State, Oba Abdulwaheed Babatunde Adekunle, has donated a modern security post to Osun Amotekun Corps.
The newly constructed facility located around Powerline Area, Eko Ende, according to a statement by the Public Relations Officer of the security agency, Yusuf Idowu, was commissioned on Saturday by the Corps Commander, Adekunle Omoyele.
The facility was donated to enhance the protection of lives and property and to sustain peace within the community.
Speaking during the commissioning, Omoyele expressed appreciation to Oba Adekunle for his remarkable investment in community security through the construction of the Amotekun Post.
He described the project as a demonstration of purposeful leadership and a practical contribution to the collective responsibility of safeguarding lives and property.
In his remarks, the Elende of Eko-Ende, noted that the establishment of a permanent Amotekun presence in Eko-Ende would significantly enhance security, strengthen intelligence gathering, and further sustain the peace and tranquillity currently enjoyed by residents.
Oba Adekunle reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the operations of the security outfit in the community. As part of this commitment, he pledged to provide daily feeding support for officers stationed at the post as well as accommodation facilities to ensure their comfort and operational effectiveness.
