The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the winners for the senatorial primaries conducted across the three senatorial districts of Osun State on Monday.
In Osun Central Senatorial District, Barrister Kunle Adegoke (SAN), popularly known as K-RAD, was declared the winner after defeating incumbent Senator Olubiyi Fadeyi, also known as Ajagunla.
Rasheed Adegoke, SAN, polled 26,655 votes, while Olubiyi Fadeyi received 13,138 votes.
Others who contested the ticket in the zone are Barrister Yomi Ogunwale, who scored 2,925,
Akintunde Adegboye, 342 votes and Olu Fakeye, who got 067 votes.
For the Osun East Senatorial District, the current lawmaker, Senator Francis Fadahunsi, secured the party’s ticket, emerging victorious in the primary election.
Fadahunsi scored 23,593 votes to defeat his opponents, Mr Famurewa Israel and Mr Thomas Ogungbange, who got 472 and 806 votes, respectively.
Meanwhile, in Osun West Senatorial District, Dr Akin Ogunbiyi was announced as the winner of the APC senatorial primary.
Ogunbiyi scored 30,568 votes, while Gafar Akintayo scored 1,215 votes, with Peter Ogundeji, who had earlier announced his withdrawal from the race, getting 14 votes.
