2026: Osun APC slams Accord party over allegation on Oyetola

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, has taken a swipe at the state leadership of the Accord Party over its comment on the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Mr Gboyega Oyetola.

It would be recalled that the state chairman of the Accord party, Pastor Victor Akande, had in a statement on Friday morning, accused Oyetola, of planning to rig the August 15, 2026 governorship election with the connivance of the State Resident Electoral Commissioner of the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC).

But the APC in a statement by its spokesperson, Kola Olabisi, debunked the allegations, describing it as fabricated information aimed at misinforming the good people of the state.

“Fabrication of falsehoods against the state leader of our party who is the immediate-past governor of the state by Akande, his governorship candidate and their ilk at this material time when they are expected to be campaigning vigorously in the nooks and crannies of the state will not convey any special electoral advantage to their candidate.

“It is absolutely false that Alhaji Oyetola held a meeting with any of the staff of the INEC, let alone giving any instruction(s) to the Resident Electoral Commissioner, as conjectured by the state chapter of the Accord Party which is the figment of his imagination,” the statement noted.
