The gubernatorial candidate of the African Democratic Congress in Osun State, Dr Najeem Salaam, has stated that he is in the race to win the August 15 election.

The former speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, urged supporters and members of the ADC to remain peaceful, focused and committed.
“I wish to reaffirm, without any ambiguity, that I am fully in the Osun State gubernatorial contest to win. Our resolve is strong, our vision is clear, and our commitment to the good people of Osun remains unwavering.
“To all our loyal members, supporters, and stakeholders in the African Democratic Congress (ADC), I urge you to remain steadfast and resolute. This is not the time for doubt or distraction. It is a time for unity, courage, and renewed determination. Be assured that we will do everything humanly possible, within the bounds of the law, to secure victory for our great party and the people of Osun State.
“Recent developments and the shenanigans witnessed from the electoral umpire are indeed concerning. However, let it be known that such actions cannot and will not stand. We have absolute confidence in the rule of law and the strength of our democratic institutions to correct any injustice.
“We call on all our supporters to remain peaceful, focused, and committed to the cause. Together, we will overcome every obstacle and emerge victorious. The future of Osun is bright, and with your continued support, victory is assured,” the statement read.
