Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has rejected the popular political anthem ‘On Your Mandate We Shall Stand Song’.
Adeleke rejected the song during a visit by the leadership of the National Association of Nigerian Students Joint Campus Committee, Osun State to the state secretariat recently.
In a video obtained by osun.life, the students leader who were at the secretariat to appreciate the Adeleke were seen singing for the governor.
However, in a turn of events, one of the student leaders started the ‘On Your Mandate We Shall Stand Song’, but Governor Adeleke stopped him, asking him not to sing that song.
osun.life report that the political anthem is commonly used by supporters, associates and politicians for President Bola Tinubu to show loyalty.
