The immediate past speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Hon. Timothy Owoeye, has charged members of the All Progressives Congress in the state to remain steadfast and committed to the party’s ideals.
In a statement he personally signed, Owoeye lauded the APC supporters for their unwavering dedication to the party, acknowledging their hard work and loyalty.
The former lawmaker who greeted the APC supporters for seeing the end of the year 2025, noted that the party is poised to win the August 08, 2026 gubernatorial election.
Owoeye said the emergence of Mr Bola Oyebamiji as the candidate of the party for the election positioned the APC as the party to beat.
He, however, urged party faithfuls to work assiduously towards achieving the goal and ensuring victory, which he said would take Osun to great heights.
“I want to congratulate our members for witnessing the end of the year 2025. I pray that 2026 will be our year of joy.
“I want to salute our members for your resilience and perseverance. Your efforts have not gone unnoticed.
“I want to assure you that the emergence of Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji as our candidate is one of the best things to happen to us in 2025. He is the best man for the job, and I know he will win come August 08, convincingly.
“However, we all have to do our part to ensure that our goals are met. We should continue to stay as one big family, work together and campaign vigorously for our candidate.”
Owoeye in the statement also saluted the leadership of the party under the Chief Bisi Akande and the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Gboyega Oyetola.
The former speaker expressed his confidence that Oyetola and the other party leaders would lead the APC to victory in the 2026 and 2027 elections.
