CVR: Osun maintains lead as INEC releases week 5 details

Osun State has once again led as the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, on Tuesday released an update on the pre-online registration in the ongoing nationwide Continuous Voter Registration, CVR.

In the latest report, Osun is leading with 578,904 registrants, representing 10.75 per cent, followed by Borno with 561,666 registrants, representing 10.43 per cent, and Lagos with 530,180 registrants, representing 9.85 per cent.

In the updated statistics released by the Commission on its social media platforms, the pre-online registration now stands at 5,385,060, while physical registration is 764,695 as of September 21.

Of the 5,385,060 online pre-registrations as at Week 5, a total of 2,799,844 are female, 2,585,216 male, while 3,604,668 are youths between age 18 and 34, with 1,354,274 being students.

Meanwhile, the statistics showed that Enugu State has the lowest number of online pre-registration with 2,931 representing 0.05 per cent of the total figure, followed by Abia with 4,608 representing 0.09 per cent and Edo with 9,670 representing 0.18 per cent.
